Over the past few years Pole Dancing has become increasinlgy recognised in the mainstream fitness industry with celebrity endorsements from Oprah to Madonna. At SQPS our aim is not to train you professionally, but rather provide an alternative or addition to your exercise regime. As you are supporting your entire body weight you will see results much faster than you would using dumbbells or barbells at the gym (plus pole classes are a whole lot more fun!)
Physical benefits of pole dancing include an increase in upper body strength and arm tone, an increase in core stability (and a flatter stomach) as well as an increase in coordination and flexibility. However the most important benefits of pole dancing are not immediately obvious to the outsider, there is a newfound sense of body awareness and of your body's limits and capabilities. As you (and a class of women just like you) accomplish moves and a form of dancing you never thought possible the confidence you gain will spill over into your everyday life.
